Abstract
The electron ionization mass spectrometric behaviour of a new series o f hafnocene and zirconocene diadamantanolates is discussed. They are a lso compared on the basis of mass-analyzed ion kinetic energy spectrom etry. Fragmentation patterns of the complexes in question give relevan t information on their gas-phase behaviour as MO(2)/MC (M=Zr, Hf) prec ursors for metal-organic chemical vapour deposition.
