Abstract
The complexes formed between a series of 19 different crown ethers and Fe(CO)(n)(+) ions are described. It is found that the energy released in the reactions increases with the crown ether ring size. The bicycl ic-ring crown ethers can form sandwich type compounds with the reagent .
