Abstract
Social network characteristics of first-year ethnically and racially d iverse (African American, Hispanic, Native American and Asian American ) and European American students were examined. Social adjustment was associated with family support characteristics for the racially and et hnically diverse students and with college friendships for the Europea n American students.
