Abstract
This paper presents some synthesis methods of ternary and quaternary c ompounds heated between 800 - 1000 degrees C under Ar flow, in a graph ite vessel, in ternary systems: Li-B-N, Ca-B-N and in quaternary syste m Li-Ca-B-N. This compounds are used for the phase transformation of t he hexagonal boron nitride into cubic boron nitride. The products of e ach experiment were investigated by X-ray powder diffraction technique s.
