C. Patroescu et al., COMPOUNDS SEPARATION FROM ETHYL-ACETATE, BY GLC, USING STATIONARY-PHASE BINARY-MIXTURES, Revista de chimie, 46(6), 1995, pp. 594-600
The compounds identified in ethyl acetate which was obtained by Tiscen
ko reaction approach-homogeneous catalysis with aluminium ethoxide-are
: acetaldehyde, ethyl vinyl ether, acetone, methyl acetate, ethanol, d
iethyl acetat, crotonaldehyde, isobutyl acetate, butyl acetate, parald
ehyde. The compounds identification was achieved by GC - MS coupling.
The separation was accomplished using four columns packed with: 25% w/
w Carbowax 20M, UCON 50 HB-2000 Hallcomid M 18, Squalane on 100/120 me
sh Chromosorb W. As some pairs of compounds overlapped: acetone and me
thyl acetate, ethyl vinyl ether and acetaldehyde, diethyl acetal and e
thyl acetate, (Carbowax 20M): acetone and methyl acetate, ethanol and
ethyl acetate (Hallcomid M 18), acetone and methyl acetate (Ucon 50 HB
-2000); isobutylacetate and paraldehyde(Squalane), we propose the use
of binary mixtures of these liquid stationary phases in window analysi
s method. The best separation was obtained with UCON 50 HB-2000 + Squa
lane at 100 degrees C (W-Squalane = 25,5%).
