Abstract
We present an experimental study of walk-off attenuation for Type II S HG, concerning both weak and strong focusing, In particular, we study 1.064 mu m SHG in KTiOPO4 (KTP). The optimum focusing conditions and s aturation length are well described by the Gaussian model contrary to the plane waves approximation. The saturation of the associated angula r acceptance is clearly put in evidence for the strong focusing cases.
