Abstract
The effect of the content of BaTiO3 surface cubic layer on the ionic c onductivity enhancement of Na4Zr2Si3O12 has been investigated. The cub ic content increases with increasing applied stress prior to the firin g and also with increasing of the cooling rate during the processing o f BaTiO3. The conductivity enhancement depends on the cubic content, a nd the extrinsic factors to control the enhancement are discussed.
