Jo. Hager et Kd. Lee, THE BEHAVIOR OF SOME SOLUTION ACCELERATION TECHNIQUES IN CFD, International journal of computational fluid dynamics, 4(1-2), 1995, pp. 137-151
Several solution acceleration techniques, used to obtain steady-state
CFD solutions as quickly as possible, are applied to an upwind Euler s
cheme to evaluate their effectiveness. Generalized minimal residual (G
MRES), multigrid (MG), and ADI are compared to a four-stage Runge-Kutt
a scheme using several grids. The use of different acceleration scheme
s combinations of produces a complementary effect: the convergence bec
omes relatively independent of both size and quality of the grid.
