Abstract
This article describes the technique used during an echocardiographic examination: preparation and positioning of the animal. The two method s used to represent the ultrasounds are then described: the two-dimens ional mode (mode 2D) and the time-movement mode (mode TM). The main cr oss-sectional images obtained are illustrated with the aid of diagrams and their corresponding photographs.
