Abstract
The naturally occurring (ex Hedychium acuminatum) compounds drim-8(12) -ene (1), albicanal (4), (E)-15,16-dinorlabda-8(17), 11-dien-13-one (5 ), and (E)-15, 16-dinorlabda-8(17), 12-dien-14-al (9), were prepared a s racemates by starting from the synthetically available rac-albicanol (2). - The Nozaki reaction of the trimethyldecalone 10 yields 11-nord rim-8-en-12-al (11) and its Delta 17 regioisomer 12.
