Abstract
Three new species of gyliauchenids are described from marine fishes ta ken at Suva, Fiji Islands: Gyliauchen pomacentri from Pomacentrus phil ippinus, G. parapapillatus from Siganus virgatus, and G. zancli from Z anclus cornutus. Gyliauchen sp. from Siganus spinus and Apharyngogylia uchen sp. from Scarus ghobban are described from immature specimens an d classified to generic level; Gyliauchen papillatus of Durio and Mant er (1969) nec Goto and Matsudaira (1918) and nec Goto (l919) is consid ered a synonym of G. parapapillatus. Gyliauchen nahaensis Ozaki, 1937, is reported from Siganus punctatus and Zanclus cornutus, both new loc ality records and the latter a new host record. A key to all 22 adult species of Gyliauchenidae and host-parasite and parasite-host lists ar e included as well as some observations on the zoogeography of the Gyl iauchenidae.
