Abstract
The possibility is investigated that charge exchange collisions betwee n ions of a hot plasma (C6+) and cold plasma (C2+) are responsible for selectively enhanced emission of the C5+ Balmer-alpha line emitted fr om the interaction zone of the two colliding laser-produced plasmas.
