S. Takeyama et al., EXCITON MAGNETOPHOTOLUMINESCENCE AFFECTED BY MAGNETIC POLARONS AND ALLOY FLUCTUATIONS IN CD1-XMNXTE, Physical review. B, Condensed matter, 52(3), 1995, pp. 1444-1447
Polarized magnetophotoluminescence was conducted on Cd1-xMnxTe with x
= 0.12 and x = 0.18. Temperature and magnetic-field dependences of the
exciton luminescence spectra showed clear competing processes between
localization caused by alloy potential fluctuations and magnetic pola
rons. The asymmetry of the photoluminescence line was used to judge th
e type of exciton localization. The effect of the exciton magnetic pol
arons was most enhanced at around 0.5-1 T, and vanished at fields high
er than 3 T, while that of alloy potential fluctuations exhibited a mo
notonic increase up to 3.5 T.
