Extended calculations for excitation-autoionization processes in the C
uI isoelectronic sequence and for dielectronic recombination in the Ni
I sequence have been performed. As an example, the results of these co
mputations for molybdenum ions are presented. On the basis of these re
sults one interprets the unexpected weak intensities of the CuI-like M
o XIV 3d(10)4s-3d(9)4s4f resonant transitions compared to the parent M
o XV 3d(10)-3d(9)4f transitions.
