Abstract
An experiment was conducted during the rainy season of 1991 and 1992 t o study growth and yield response of 'T21' pigeonpea [Cajanus cajan (L .) Millsp] to potassium application (0, 25, 50 and 75 kg/ha). Applicat ion of K significantly increased the shoot dry weight, leaf-area index (LAI), leaf-area duration and crop-growth rate. It also significantly increased the pods/plant, 1,000-seed weight, harvest index and seed y ield (q/ha). Application of 50 kg K/ha proved optimum for growth and y ield parameters and the seed yield.
