Dd. Dudhade et al., EFFECT OF SOWING DATE ON GROWTH, YIELD ATTRIBUTES AND YIELD OF INDIANMUSTARD (BRASSICA-JUNCEA), Indian Journal of Agronomy, 41(3), 1996, pp. 445-447
A field experiment was conducted during the winter (rabi) season of 19
91-92 and 1992-93 to study the performance of 3 varieties ('Seeta', 'P
usa Bold' and 'Pusa Barani') of Indian mustard [Brassica juncea (L.) C
zernj & Cosson] under 5 sowing dates (1, 15, 30 October; 15 and 30 Nov
ember). Highest seed yield was recorded when the crop was sown on 1 Oc
tober and subsequent sowing at an interval of 15 days induced signific
ant reduction in seed yield during both the years. Seed yield of 'Seet
a' was higher than 'Pusa Bold' and 'Pusa Barani' in both years.
