Winners of the 1995 international P/M Part-of-the-Year Design Competit
ion show a diverse mix of new applications in trucks, auto and marine
engines, power tools, computers, knives, aircraft, firearms and consum
er products. Dramatic manufacturing cost savings and design complexity
are featured in the winning parts. The competition is sponsored annua
lly by the Metal Powder Industries Federation to recognize outstanding
applications of the technology. This year 29 companies submitted 54 p
arts.
