Abstract
A new adiabatic method is formulated which simplifies the derivation o f QED corrections to the energy of bound states. within this method th e shift of the energy levels and the matrix elements of the secular op erators can be expressed as contour integrals of the modified adiabati c S-gamma-operators over the adiabatic parameter gamma.
