Abstract
A reaction of [Pd(tol(2)TU(-1)-N,S)(2)] (tol(2)TU=1,3-di(o-tolyl)-thio
urea) with dppm affords [Pd(tol(2)TU(-2)-N,S)(to(2)TU-S)(dppm-P)](1).
Complex 1 is gradually converted into [Pd-2(mu-S)(mu-dppm)(2)(tol(2)TU
(-1)-S)(2)] (2), with a sulfide bridge via CS bond activation in tol(2
)TU. X-ray diffraction study shows that complex 2 has an A-frame dinuc
lear Pd(II) structure without a Pd-Pd.
