Abstract
Athletic injuries to the hip and pelvis in the young athlete encompass the entire spectrum of possible causes from the single, macrotraumati c event to those of repetitive microtrauma. In addition, the injuries may involve the bony skeleton or the soft tissues. Bony injuries may i nvolve the epiphysis, apophysis, metaphysis, or diaphysis.
