Abstract
Lower limits on the half-life of the beta beta(2 upsilon + 0 upsilon) decay of Ge-76 to the excited states in Se-76 have been obtained using the results of low-background measurements with a HPGe detector surro unded by passive germanium shielding: T-1/2(0(+) --> 2(1)(+)) > 1.1 . 10(21) y, T-1/2(0(+) --> O-1(+)) > 1.7 . 10(21) y, T-1/2(0(+) --> 2(1) (+)) > 1.4 . 10(21) y.
