Abstract
In this paper we report the difference between the squeezing effect fo r quadrature operators (describing a photon field or harmonic oscillat or) and for spin variables (describing a two-level system), the distin ction coming from the bound and unbound character of the operators inv olved in the definition of squeezing for each system.
