The metal chelates formed by 4-alkylcarboxylate, 4-alkoxythiocarboxyla
te and 4-alkyldithiocarboxylate derivatives of 1-phenyl-3-methyl-2-pyr
azolin-5-one with copper(II) and uranium(VI) have prepared. The comple
xes were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, UV, and H-1 NMR spec
tral studies. All the complexes have a metal:ligand ratio of 1:2.
