Extracted organic phases of HDEHP [di(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid] c
ontaining lanthanide ions have been characterized by FTIR, fluorescenc
e and ICP/AES spectroscopic measurements. The result demonstrates that
(1) the water content in extracted organic phase decreases as the loa
ding percentage of lanthanide increases; (2) The fluorescence investig
ation displays no mixed micelle of Na (or K)-HDEHP and Re-HDEHP formed
in the organic phase; (3) The extracted organic phase is a sort of co
mplex fluid, which has multiple aggregation states and different micro
structures.
