Abstract
This paper describes an inverted laboratory microscope developed by th e authors, designed for studying cells in tissue cultures. The magnifi cation of the microscope is 63-1000X, and objects can be studied (by v isual observation and photography) using light-field, luminescence, ph ase-contrast, and differential interference-contrast microscopy,.
