Abstract
An analytical procedure has been developed for the determination of zi nc pyrithione in antidandruff formulations. Zinc pyrithione was conver ted into a stable copper complex and then analysed by reversed-phase H PLC. The proposed method allows the separation of the analyte from rel ated pyrithiones and therefore is able to verify the compliance of cos metic preparations with current legislation.
