In a 2,5 year-old girl admitted because of persisting cough, physical
examination revealed decreased breathing sounds over the entire left l
ung. Chest x-ray showed a unilaterally hyperlucent left lung. Bronchos
copy revealed no evidence of foreign body aspiration and bronchography
demonstrated saccular dilatations and pruned tree images of the left
bronchi. Angiocardiography showed normal anatomy of the pulmonary vess
els but decreased perfusion of the left lung. These findings combined
establish the diagnosis of Mc-Leod-Swyer-James-Syndroms a condition du
e to post-infectious bronchiolitis obliterans.
