Abstract
The generation of the second harmonic by a shallow crack in the surfac e of a thin plate is considered. The function of action is built for a plate with a crack, and equations of motion are derived with the aid of generalized functions. The solution of these equations is found in the form a Fourier series in the first Born approximation, and the ter m corresponding to the second harmonic is analyzed.
