Abstract
The new reagent 2,6-diphenyl-4-(4-dimethylamino)styrylpyryl chloride i s suggested for extraction photometric determination of anionic surfac e-active substances (SAS). This reagent possesses high sensitivity and selectivity, and can be used for the determination of both individual SAS of any kind and the total amount of anionic SAS. The reagent was used in analysis of highly mineralized stratal waters and for the dete rmination of sulfated products in polyoxyethylated alkylphenols.
