MRI OF GIANT-CELL TUMOR OF TENDON SHEATH OF THE HAND - A REPORT OF 3 CASES

Giant cell tumor of tendon sheath is a common tumor of the hand. Magne tic resonance can be used to confirm its presence, as well as characte rize and determine its extent, contributing to the presurgical diagnos is, planning of the surgical approach, and diagnosis of recurrence. Th e authors describe the MR appearances in three cases, using spin-echo sequences with and without fat saturation and intravenous gadopentetat e dimeglumine administration. Previous literature on the subject is al so reviewed.
