Methyl 2,2-dimethylgibberellate A(1)(9(a)) and its isomer methyl 2,2-d
imethyl-epigibberellate A(1)(9(b)) were synthesized first by chemical
method from gibberellic acid (GA(3)) 3. All intermediates were substan
tiated by MS, IR, H-1 NMR. The 1H NMR data of 9(a) were in agreement w
ith those from literature.
