NOVEL RADICAL-CATION SALTS OF ORGANIC PI-DONORS CONTAINING IODINE ATOM(S) - THE FIRST APPLICATION OF STRONG INTERMOLECULAR -I-X- (X=CN, HALOGEN ATOM) INTERACTION TO MOLECULAR CONDUCTORS
T. Imakubo et al., NOVEL RADICAL-CATION SALTS OF ORGANIC PI-DONORS CONTAINING IODINE ATOM(S) - THE FIRST APPLICATION OF STRONG INTERMOLECULAR -I-X- (X=CN, HALOGEN ATOM) INTERACTION TO MOLECULAR CONDUCTORS, Synthetic metals, 73(2), 1995, pp. 117-122
As a new architecture of crystal design in molecular conductors, an ap
plication of the intermolecular -I ... X- (X = CN, halogen atom) inter
action is presented. Novel radical cation salts of iodine-bonded tetra
thiafulvalene (TTF) derivatives have been prepared and their unique cr
ystal structures containing strong and directional cation-anion intera
ctions are characterized.
