P. Razquin et al., THE 36-KDA FORM OF FERREDOXIN-NADP(+) REDUCTASE FROM ANABAENA COPURIFIES WITH PHYCOBILIPROTEINS, Bioelectrochemistry and bioenergetics, 38(1), 1995, pp. 57-61
Crude extracts from Anabaena PCC 7119 show the presence of the 49 kDa
form of ferredoxin-NADP(+) reductase (FNR) (NADP, nicotinamide adenine
dinucleotide phosphate) which is processed to the 36 kDa form after i
ncubation at room temperature. The use of acetone precipitation as the
disruption procedure anticipated the presence of the 36 kDa FNR. Seve
ral active fractions of FNR contained phycobiliproteins, and different
electrophoretic patterns were observed when samples obtained from iso
lated heterocysts or vegetative cells were compared.
