Abstract
The analytical descriptions of spatial distributions of axial and radi al velocity components in an agitated vessel have been used to compute zone dimensions in the modified network-of-zones approach to macromix ing. The results, in the dimensionless form, are general and can be us ed straightforwardly within the framework of the approach to describe various processes taking place in a stirred vessel.
