Abstract
The reaction of W(CO)(6) with 21-crown-7 in the presence of H2O and HC l(g) in toluene has yielded [H5O2+. 21-crown-7][WOCl5-], a complex exh ibiting a bowl-like conformation for the 21-crown-7 molecule which is bound to an H5O2+ ion in the unusual, high energy cis conformation.
