Abstract
The crystal structure of 4-chloro-3,5-dimethylphenol has been determin ed. There are two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit and the molecules are held together by hydrogen bonding. Each O atom acts as both an acceptor and a donor in the intermolecular hydrogen-bonding sc heme.
