G. Bernardinelli et al., ANHYDROUS FORM OF CARNIDAZOLE, C8H12N4O3S, Acta crystallographica. Section C, Crystal structure communications, 51, 1995, pp. 1390-1392
The molecular conformations of the anhydrous and hydrated forms of car
nidazole {O-methyl hyl-5-nitro-1H-imidazol-1-yl)ethyl]carbamothioate}
differ essentially in the relative orientations of the nitroimidazole
and thiocarbamate moieties. In the anhydrous form, the molecules are c
onnected by a network of hydrogen bonds and show stacking interactions
between the nitro-imidazole moieties.
