Abstract
A study of the flexural buckling of single-cell extension-twist couple d beams under axial compression is presented. The analysis is based on a recently developed geometrically non-linear thin walled beam theory . The effects of direct transverse shear and the parasitic bending-tra nsverse shear coupling as well as those of different boundary conditio ns and ply-angles are discussed.
