Abstract
Lac Ste. Therese, a remote Canadian Arctic lake in the Northwest Terri tories, Canada, has high natural (non-point source) mercury concentrat ions in fish. The high mercury levels have persisted for over 18 years . Lac Ste. Therese has had consistently higher mercury concentration i n fish than the other three lakes sampled within the basin, regardless of species tested.
