Abstract
Replacement of the quinoline pharmacophore: of verlukast by alkylthiaz oles and benzothiazoles has lead to the discovery of a new series of p otent and orally active LTD(4) receptor antagonists. The synthesis and structure activity relationships of this series of compounds are desc ribed.
