Ms. Dresselhaus et G. Dresselhaus, FULLERENES AND FULLERENE-DERIVED SOLIDS AS ELECTRONIC MATERIALS, Annual review of materials science, 25, 1995, pp. 487-523
The status of our present understanding of fullerenes and fullerene-de
rived solids as electronic materials is reviewed, with particular emph
asis given to the strong connection of these electronic materials in t
he solid state to their molecular fullerene origins. The synthesis, st
ructure, and electronic properties of fullerene solids are considered,
and modifications to their structure and properties through doping wi
th various charge transfer agents are reviewed. We conclude with brief
comments on potential applications of this unique family of new elect
ronic materials.
