Business Process Re-engineering has become one of the most popular and
highly debated topics in management in recent years. The purpose of t
his paper is to try and analyse Korea's largest corporation, the Samsu
ng Corporation, and its particular approach to re-engineering. The pap
er helps to illustrate not only Samsung's approach, but the general ap
proach of Korean management strategy, and the important differences no
t only with Western but with other Asian management strategies.
