J. Heinrichs, RESISTANCE AND REFLECTION PHASE DISTRIBUTIONS IN SHORT ONE-DIMENSIONAL CONDUCTORS, Journal of physics. Condensed matter, 7(31), 1995, pp. 6291-6295
Resistance and reflection phase distributions are obtained from the ex
act asymptotic solution of the invariant embedding equations for arbit
rary disorder, for samples of length L << (2k(0))(-1) < L(c) (with k(0
) the incident electron wavenumber and L(c) the localization length).
The resistance moments differ quantitatively from earlier results for
the range (2k(0))(-1) << L << L(c) and from results obtained by assumi
ng uniformly distributed phases. The phase distribution reduces, for w
eak disorder, to a binary form with possible phases pi/2 and 3 pi/2. T
he conductance moments diverge more strongly than the results based on
uniformly random phases in 1D.
