Abstract
A new type of transcutaneous P-CO2 sensor has been developed. It can m onitor arterial blood CO2 gas continuously. The P-CO2 sensor consists of an H+-ISFET, Ag/AgCl solid reference electrode, a heater and a heat -sensitive senses, hydrogel-containing electrolyte, a CO2 gas-permeabl e membrane, etc. The sensor's measurement range is 4-300 mmHg. Its sen sitivity is 40 mV/P-CO2, the correlation coefficient is 0.9985 and the response time is less than 2 min.
