S. Wakida et al., PRELIMINARY APPLICATION OF HIGHLY SENSITIVE NITRATE ISFETS TO ACID-RAIN MONITORING, Sensors and actuators. B, Chemical, 24(1-3), 1995, pp. 222-224
Highly sensitive nitrate ion-sensitive field-effect transistors (nitra
te ISFETs) have been investigated for acid-rain monitoring by using sp
ecially designed hydrophobic nitrate-sensing materials. Using this nit
rate-sensing membrane, we have prepared a prototype nitrate checker co
mposed of a nitrate ISFET and a silver/silver chloride reference elect
rode and have demonstrated its preliminary application to real samples
of rain water. The correlation coefficient between the values observe
d by the prepared nitrate checker and conventional ion chromatography
is 0.989.
