Pa. Schulte et G. Talaska, VALIDITY CRITERIA FOR THE USE OF BIOLOGICAL MARKERS OF EXPOSURE TO CHEMICAL-AGENTS IN ENVIRONMENTAL EPIDEMIOLOGY, Toxicology, 101(1-2), 1995, pp. 73-88
Biomarkers may prove very useful in increasing the precision of exposu
re estimates during field epidemiological studies of environmental and
occupational exposures. However, the determination of validity of exp
osure biomarkers is a laborious process. It is also a process that nee
ds collaboration between laboratory and field scientists if biological
markers of exposure are to be useful tools in environmental epidemiol
ogy.
