Abstract
From the ethanolic extract of the aerial parts of Lycopus virginicus ( L.) Michx. (Lamiaceae) the 7-O-beta-D-glucuronides of apigenin, acacet in, and luteolin as well as the methyl ester of apigenin 7-O-beta-D-gl ucuronide could be isolated. Quantification of luteolin 7-O-beta-D-glu curonide by HPLC in crude methanolic extracts from L. virginicus, L. e uropaeus, and L. exaltatus showed contents of 0.017-0.22%.
