Abstract
Pasteurella multocida is a common cause of would infection following a nimal-inflicted wounds, but is a rare cause of female genito-urinary s epsis. We present a case of vulval sepsis and a case of intrapartum se pticaemia with this bacterium. These two cases indicate that Pasteurel la multocida can occasionally colonise the female lower gential tract and this bacterium should be considered in the differential diagnosis of serious infection related to this site.
