Abstract
Weight losses in the thermal decomposition of a Moroccan wood have bee n studied by means of dynamic and isothermal experiments, carried out under a nitrogen atmosphere. At low heating rates, weight loss measure ments on pyrolysis samples of Acacia mearncii wood indicate that decom position occurs in discrete stages of hemicellulose evolution, cellulo se decomposition and lignine degradation.
