Abstract
During machine design and manufacturing, the analyses and calculations of the structural or assembling accuracy are very important for ensur ing the quality of the mechanical product. However, the structural or assembling accuracy is the result of synthesizing the place-and-pose e rror of the parts required to be assembled. Due to every part in the m achine being a Three-Dimensional (3-D) Space Substance, in this paper the place-and-pose error of every part is described in a 3-D coordinat e system. Further, it is shown how the SCPPE of the parts concerned in a machine can be researched, analyzed and calculated by vector and ma trix operations. Finally, the satisfactory results obtained are illust rated.
